Never Met Since Detained, Adam Deni's Mother Disappointed with Virtual Trial

Kapanlagi.com - The mother of Adam Deni, Susiani, feels disappointed because her son's alleged violation of the ITE Law trial is conducted virtually. She had hoped to meet her son face-to-face during the trial.

Susiani expressed this after the trial at the North Jakarta District Court on Monday (14/3). As a mother, she certainly misses her son because she has only met him once since Adam Deni was detained by the police.

1. Disappointed

"Today I am quite disappointed actually, because I have been waiting for Adam to meet me, but he was not present," said Susiani.

"We did not have time to meet at the police headquarters. We only met once," she continued.

2. Confused

Meanwhile, Adam Deni's lawyer, Herwanto, also feels confused about the online trial. Whereas in the previous trial, the panel of judges had asked the prosecutor to bring the defendant.

"During last week's trial, the panel did not order online. They ordered to bring the defendant. The prosecutor said we would be offline if there was a determination. Yesterday there was no order for an online trial either, right? If they want to change it," said Herwanto.

3. Cancelled Face-to-Face Meeting

It is known that Adam Deni's trial was cancelled face-to-face. The trial for the alleged violation of uploading documents to social media without permission was finally held virtually.

The trial with the agenda of the Public Prosecutor's indictment started at 2:20 p.m. WIB, Adam Deni finally appeared on the virtual monitor provided in the trial. The social media activist was wearing a white shirt and his face was covered with a mask.

Not alone, a woman next to Adam Deni who was also involved in the alleged uploading of documents without permission on social media was seen. The woman is known as Ni Made Dwita Anggari.
