Kapanlagi.com - Cinta Laura is known to the public as one of the celebrities with the ideal body proportions, also known as body goals. However, who would have thought that this beautiful woman of German-Indonesian descent has experienced a dark period that ultimately affected her body shape.

The owner of the full name Cinta Laura Kiehl revealed that she has experienced depression which led to an eating disorder. Instead of losing her appetite, Cinta Laura actually ate a lot to deal with her sadness.

"What makes me sad is that in many countries like Indonesia, the disorder they think about tends to be anorexia. However, there is an eating disorder on the other side of the spectrum, which is binge eating disorder. Anorexia is not eating at all, while binge eating is consuming excessive calories beyond what we need. Some people purge, which means they vomit it out, but some don't," said Cinta Laura, as quoted from TRANS TV Official's YouTube channel.

"In 2017, I was truly depressed. I couldn't tell you, but I was experiencing something that really disturbed my peace. And the way I coped with that sadness was by eating," she added.

1. Can't Stop Eating

Cinta Laura further explains that she couldn't stop eating during her depression. She could devour any kind of high-calorie food in a short period of time.

"For 1 month, when I was filming in Savannah, Georgia, I could eat 8000 calories per day. And that could include burgers, french fries, a jar of ice cream, maybe a slurpee and more ice cream, and half a pie, apple pie, in less than 8 hours," said Cinta Laura.

2. Significant Weight Gain

As a result, Cinta Laura's weight skyrocketed drastically. Not only did it affect her physical appearance, but this eating disorder also had a negative impact on her mindset once she had gone overboard.

"The more we eat, the longer we feel, 'okay, I'm already fat, I've eaten a lot, just keep going.' And I gained 15 kilograms in 1 month," she concluded.
