Nia Ramadhani and Ardi Bakrie Apply for Rehabilitation, Here's What the Police Say

Kapanlagi.com - Legal representatives of Nia Ramadhani and Ardi Bakrie, Wa Ode Nur Zaenab, are ready to submit a rehabilitation request for their clients. He believes that the husband and wife are only users.

In response to this, Central Jakarta Police Chief, Kombes Pol Hengki Haryadi, said that if Nia Ramadhani and Ardi Bakrie apply for rehabilitation, it will be further processed by the National Narcotics Agency (BNN). 

"Then for this rehabilitation, it is not carried out by investigators, there is a family request that we facilitate and it is carried out by an integrated assessment team by BNN which consists of the police, prosecutor, doctor, psychiatrist, and so on. This is outside the jurisdiction of the Central Jakarta Police investigators," said Hengki at the Central Jakarta Metro Police, Saturday (10/7/2021).

Furthermore, Hengki Haryadi revealed that if Nia Ramadhani and Ardi Bakrie undergo rehabilitation, the legal process will still continue.

"But we need to clarify that if there is a decision for rehabilitation as required by Article 54 of Law No. 35 of 2009, we will not stop the case, we will bring it to court for a verdict," said Hengki Haryadi.

"This judge emphasizes that we should not let the information become ambiguous, so we will conduct the investigation professionally and then present the suspects," continued Hengki.

2. Attempting to Apply for Rehabilitation

Previously, on Friday (9/7/2021), Nia Ramadhani and her husband, Ardi Bakrie, along with their driver, Wa Ode Nurzaenab, will attempt to apply for rehabilitation in the case of alleged drug abuse involving both of them.

"God willing, we have prepared to apply for rehabilitation. Hopefully, in the near future, the assessment can be conducted by the police," said Wa Ode Nur Zaenab at the Central Jakarta Metro Police Station on Friday (9/7/2021).

Previously reported, Nia Ramadhani and Ardi Bakrie, along with their driver, ZN, were arrested by the Narcotics Investigation Unit of the Central Jakarta Metro Police on Wednesday (7/7/2021) for alleged drug abuse. From the arrest, the police seized 0.78 grams of crystal meth and a bong or meth pipe as evidence.
