Nikita Mirzani's Appeal Files Will Soon Be Sent to the High Court

This legal process began when Nikita Mirzani filed an appeal on November 3, 2025. The transfer of these files is a mandatory procedure to ensure that the legal efforts undertaken by Nikita are promptly examined and adjudicated by the judges at the next level.

This appeal effort is a consequence of the 4-year prison sentence and a fine of IDR 1 billion that Nikita received. She was found guilty of violating Article 27B paragraph 2 of the ITE Law in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code in a case reported by Reza Gladys, which began with allegations of extortion.

The Junior Clerk of the Criminal Court at South Jakarta, Muhammad Yusuf Shalahuddin, stated that they have a clear deadline to submit the documents.

"We will still send it to the High Court within 14 days," emphasized Muhammad Yusuf Shalahuddin when met at the South Jakarta District Court, Monday (10/11/2025).

Furthermore, he explained that the 14-day deadline will not be affected by the presence or absence of a response from the Public Prosecutor (JPU) in the form of a counter appeal memorandum."Whether there is a counter or not, we will still send it to the High Court," he added.

Meanwhile, the Public Relations of the South Jakarta District Court, Asrofi, also added that after the documents were submitted, the authority to handle the case fully transferred to the High Court."Of course, later it will be processed in the High Court, where a High Judge will handle it," said Asrofi.

What is clear, continued Asrofi, since Nikita Mirzani announced her appeal, the authority of her detention has transferred to the High Court.Thus, the fate of the appeal submitted by Nikita Mirzani is now in the hands of the panel of judges at the High Court.
