Niko Al Hakim Doesn't Attend Divorce Trial, Mediation with Rachel Vennya Doesn't Go Well

Kapanlagi.com - The continuation of the divorce hearing between Rachel Vennya and Niko Al Hakim was held again at the South Jakarta Religious Court on Tuesday (9/2). However, the mediation session was only attended by Rachel Vennya while Niko Al Hakim was unable to attend. Therefore, the mediation will be continued next week.

"The agenda for Rachel Vennya's trial is mediation, but today Rachel Vennya attended while her husband, the defendant, did not," said Taslimah, the spokesperson for the South Jakarta Religious Court after the hearing.

1. Reasons for Niko Al Hakim's Absence

The South Jakarta Religious Court itself does not know the reason why Niko Al Hakim cannot attend his divorce hearing.

"We have not received any information regarding the defendant's reason for not attending today's hearing, so we cannot convey it," said Taslimah.

2. Suboptimal Mediation

As a result, the mediation that should have been attended by the plaintiff and defendant today did not go optimally. Therefore, the continuation of the mediation session will be held on February 16, 2021.

"The mediation that was supposed to take place today was not optimal, so it means that one of the parties that was supposed to be mediated was absent. Mediation should be as optimal as possible, and if there are obstacles, there can be other ways or alternative efforts. The agenda for the continuation of the mediation is set for next Tuesday, February 16, 2021, and Rachel and her husband are still ordered to attend," she concluded.
