Nindy Doesn't Respond to Police Summons Regarding Her Husband's Drug and Illegal Firearms Case

Kapanlagi.com - The husband of Nindy, Askara Parasady Harsono, was recently arrested by the police for possession and misuse of illegal drugs. Along with the police raid conducted at Nindy's residence, an unlicensed firearm was also found, complete with ammunition.

Nindy was summoned by the police to testify against her husband. She received the summons several days ago. However, as of today, Monday (18/1), the 32-year-old singer has not been seen at the West Jakarta Metro Police Station.

"Last Friday, we sent a summons as a witness to Ms. Nindy. But until now, there has been no confirmation that she will attend the examination as a witness today," said the Head of Narcotics Unit of the West Jakarta Metro Police, Commissioner Ronaldo Maradona Siregar.

1. Second Summons for Nindy

Nindy's statement is considered very important for the investigator's needs in further uncovering the case of her husband. Therefore, if Nindy does not comply with the summons as a witness today, the police will send a second summons letter.

"If asked about the urgency, it is important (Nindy's statement). If it is not important, we will not summon. We will wait until the evening. So if she does not attend the summons today, according to the applicable procedural law, tomorrow we will issue a second summons letter to the person," he said.

2. Chronology of Nindy's Husband's Arrest

As it is known, Nindy's husband was arrested by the Narcotics Investigation Unit of West Jakarta Metro Police at his residence in Pondok Pinang area, South Jakarta, on January 7, 2021. From the urine test results, Askara was found positive for containing amphetamine and methamphetamine, which are types of addictive substances in narcotics.

Some evidence seized by the officers includes one pill of happy five, half a pill of happy five in a small plastic bag, a smoking device, and a firearm along with 50 bullets. The suspect will be charged under Article 127 paragraph 1 letter a of the Indonesian Law Number 35 Year 2009 concerning Narcotics and Article 62 concerning Psychotropics with a penalty of five years imprisonment and/or a fine of Rp 100 million.
