Nirina Zubir's Struggle Against Land Mafia Approaches the Final Chapter, Hoping the Judge Can Deliver the Best Verdict

The struggle of artist Nirina Zubir against the land mafia is entering the final chapter, with the verdict hearing of her mother's former maid, Riri Khasmita, which will be held at the State Administrative Court (PTUN) in Jakarta on Thursday (8/8/2024).

Nirina Zubir expressed her impatience in waiting for the judge's verdict. She is confident that Riri Khasmita's lawsuit will not be granted. Stay tuned for the full story!

"I can't wait to quickly know what the verdict is. It's already clear actually. The process they went through, from the first hearing, they were already declared guilty," said Nirina in the Prapanca area, South Jakarta, Tuesday (6/8/2024).

Nirina admitted to being tired of dealing with land mafia issues that have been ongoing since November 2021. Although the Ministry of ATR/BPN has intervened, the problem remains unresolved.   "It's really exhausting. Mentally, physically, and time-wise. Especially since Nirina has two children and also has work," said Nirina.

Nirina also mentioned how difficult it is to go about daily life while facing this issue. That's why the 44-year-old woman wants this problem to be resolved soon.

"To be honest, I just finished a flight 24 hours ago, my sleep schedule is still a mess, but I have to meet with friends again. So all Nirina can do now is face it, go through it, and finish it," she explained.

In the future, Nirina hopes the judge's decision will align with her expectations and avoid prolonged legal processes.   "Hopefully the judge will deliver a ruling that defends us. We are the victims," said Nirina.

Nirina has high hopes that the land mafia will receive appropriate punishment. Certainly so that there are no more victims falling like she has experienced.   "Basically, this land mafia, enough already. I hope the state can uphold the existing regulations. What is right is right, and what is wrong should be punished to the fullest extent," she concluded.

As a reminder, Nirina Zubir reported Riri Khasmita in November 2021 for alleged embezzlement. Riri and her accomplices are suspected of embezzling six assets in the form of land certificates.

After successfully imprisoning Riri Khasmita, Nirina received assistance from the Ministry of ATR/BPN to reclaim the six land certificates. The handover of the certificates was conducted directly by Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono as the Minister of ATR/BPN.

However, Nirina and her family's happiness did not last long. Riri Khasmita sued BPN and Nirina at the Jakarta Administrative Court regarding the return of the land certificates. Additionally, Nirina was also sued by three homeowners who purchased land from Riri Khasmita.

This issue continues, and Nirina Zubir hopes that the upcoming verdict will bring a fair resolution and conclude this long-standing legal saga.
