No Regret! Portrait of Revaldo Arrested for Drugs for the Third Time: I'm an Addict with Mental Problems

Revaldo, who was already wearing a detainee's uniform, came accompanied by an officer to attend a press conference with journalists. He was given the opportunity to speak in front of the public about the mistakes he made.

In a press conference held by the Jakarta Metropolitan Police on Friday, January 13, 2023, Revaldo apologized to everyone who believed in him. He apologized for relapsing.

"I relapsed, I am an addict with mental problems. Thank you to the Jakarta Metropolitan Police and the Narcotics Division for reprimanding me again. It's better to be reprimanded by these gentlemen than by the Almighty," said Revaldo.

Being involved in the same case for the third time, Revaldo admitted that he wants to recover from his addiction. He wants to become healthy again and be accepted and trusted by his family and closest friends. "I'm sorry, I just want to get better," he said.

As previously reported, Revaldo Fifaldi was arrested by the Narcotics Unit of the Metro Jaya Police on Tuesday, January 10, 2023. During the arrest, the police found several pieces of evidence in the form of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Previously arrested in 2006, Revaldo, who was released in 2007, was arrested again by the police in 2010, also for the same case. In fact, Revaldo was suspected as a drug dealer and faced a life sentence.

Based on the testimonies of several witnesses, the court ruled that Revaldo was not a distributor, but a user. He had to serve several months of imprisonment and rehabilitation. He admitted to being tired of being trapped in drug addiction.

As if there was no remorse, 4 years later after being released, precisely in 2015, Revaldo was arrested again for being caught consuming drugs. When searched, the police found evidence in the form of a lighter and 93 grams of methamphetamine. 

In his defense, Revaldo claimed that he was not the owner of the 93 grams of methamphetamine found by the police. He admitted to consuming marijuana, but not methamphetamine. He had no knowledge of the lighter and methamphetamine in his pocket. 

The panel of judges sentenced Revaldo to 7 years in prison and a fine of Rp 1 billion, with a subsidiary sentence of 3 months in prison. And after being free for 7 years, Revaldo started filming again, until he was caught again on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, with the same case.
