Inara Rusli's accusations were revealed by Virgoun's mother, Eva Manurung. However, Eva stated that the handcuffs were just children's toys. Inara Rusli's legal counsel asserted that the handcuffs used by Virgoun to punish his children were not toys. They were genuine handcuffs, even with the Polri logo.
"Virgoun's mother clearly confirmed that the handcuffs were provided by Virgoun for his restless or crying child. Genuine handcuffs, even made of iron, with the Polri logo and the word Polri engraved on them," said Inara Rusli's legal counsel, Mulkan Let Let, at the West Jakarta Religious Court on Wednesday (11/10/2023).

Mulkan Let Let stated that Eva Manurung confirmed in court that the handcuffs used by Virgoun to punish his children were genuine.
However, Mulkan Let Let expressed disappointment with Eva Manurung's statement when questioned by the media. Eva Manurung actually claimed that Virgoun's handcuffs used to punish his children were toys.

“Virgoun's mother's statement in court confirmed that they were handcuffs, but when she was interviewed by friends, she claimed they were toys,” said Mulkan Let Let.
“But they were indeed real handcuffs. Is it appropriate for a father to educate his children like that, handcuffing one of them and putting them on an iron pole while using the other on the child? Is it appropriate to raise a child like that,” Mulkan Let Let added.

It is known that the West Jakarta Religious Court has just held a divorce hearing for Virgoun and Inara Rusli on Wednesday (11/10/2023). This time, the hearing is scheduled to hear expert witness testimony presented by Inara Rusli's party.
Arjana Bagaskara cannot disclose the results of today's hearing because it was held in closed session. However, he said that the expert witness presented was a child psychologist named Adib Setiawan.
