Tuesday, January 23, 2018, became the day of the divorce trial verdict between Gisela Anastasia and Gading Marten. After going through several court sessions, they are now officially divorced. The South Jakarta District Court also decided that the custody of Gempita Nora Marten is given to Gisel.
In this trial, Gisel was accompanied by her legal counsel, but Gading did not attend the verdict session. So, how is Gisel's readiness now that she is officially a widow?
Although this divorce has gone through preparations, Gisel still feels mixed emotions, between sadness and other feelings.
Gisel and Gading have tried to maintain their marriage. However, it seems that divorce is the best path for both of them.
"Mixed feelings, everything is mixed. Since the beginning, even when leaving on the road, how is it even though everything has been considered, but when facing the moment, it will definitely be mixed," he said when met at the South Jakarta District Court, Wednesday (23/1/2019).
Officially divorced, now Gisel admits that she wants to focus on raising Gempita only.
Gisel herself said that she did not expect her marriage to end like this. However, she considers this separation to be the best path for both of them.
"No, who would step into a marriage knowing that it will eventually end. Everyone surely doesn't want that, but something happens in the middle, people change," she said.
Although Gading didn't attend, it turns out Gisel still communicates with her ex. They still talk as usual, even still joking around.
"He said, 'Hey, you better watch out, don't fall in love with me again. I told him not to like me again from now on' hahaha. Joking and laughing together, so the relationship is better for everyone," Gisel said.
