The divorce trial between Melanie Putria and Angga Puradireja finally ended with a gavel at the West Jakarta Religious Court. The couple, who had been married for eight years, officially divorced in the eyes of the law on Tuesday, January 22, 2019. Melanie was interviewed after the verdict. What is her response to this?
Melanie Putria filed for divorce from Angga, the vocalist of Maliq & d'Essentials, in November 2018. However, their divorce was only finalized on January 22, 2019.
Melanie came to the divorce hearing. Meanwhile, Angga couldn't attend because of matters outside Jakarta. But Melanie promised to inform Angga.
As explained by the legal counsel, this divorce does not discuss the issue of joint property rights. Now that they are officially divorced, Angga will be the one to leave their house.
All this time, Melanie and Angga have been living in the house owned by the mother of Puteri Indonesia 2002. However, Melanie will still help her ex-husband in the matter of moving houses.
In addition to not discussing joint property, it seems that there has been an agreement between them that custody of the child will be given to Melanie.
