Found in a press conference held at Hotel Veranda, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (28/11), Gading Marten confirmed that he and Gisel have decided to separate. He also expressed his disappointment about false rumors that are circulating.
"Friends already know everything. Gisel has given a statement on IG, so have I. The news about Gisel and me separating is true. What disappoints me is that friends make false news, manipulating people's opinions," said Gading.
"All the news about the reasons for my divorce yesterday (about a third person and everything) is not true. We both have problems that we cannot express openly. The decision has been carefully thought out and we will separate amicably in the future," he continued.
When attending the press conference, Gading and Gisel were seen sitting side by side accompanied by their respective lawyers. They also appeared to be in sync wearing white attire. In fact, Gading and Gisel were seen laughing at each other several times.
Just like the closeness that is still evident, Gisel and Gading have indeed decided to separate amicably. They have also agreed to help each other in taking care of their daughter, Gempi.
"We strengthen each other when we hear various news about you. 'Brother, be patient, it's said that many attack you regarding a third person and so on'. The same goes for me when attacked," he said.
"Not everyone who separates has to fight. We face it together. The goal is for a better future. We are committed to taking care of Gempi in the future. It's a pity if Gempi grows up and hears about this and that," Gisel concluded.
