Oklin Fia Apologizes for the Ice Cream Licking Video, Admits Mistake and Regret

Kapanlagi.com - Influencer Oklin Fia apologizes for the viral ice cream licking video that happened some time ago. Accompanied by his lawyer, Budiansyah, he conveyed the apology after undergoing examination as a witness and suspect at the South Jakarta Police Station on Thursday (24/8/2023).

"Today, on behalf of Oklin, I finally gathered the courage to appear and apologize to the entire society for my video that has caused uproar and unrest among the people of Indonesia recently," said Oklin at the South Jakarta Police Station on Thursday (24/8/2023).

1. No Intention to Disparage Religion

As a Muslim, Oklin said, from the deepest part of him, there is no intention at all to demean or disparage Islam. Oklin admitted that since he was a child, his mother had taught him about Islam.

"Since I was a child, my mother has taught me about Islam, to be a good and devout Muslimah, I have also been accustomed to covering my aurat and wearing hijab since I was a teenager," he said.

"Even long before I created content on my social media," added Oklin.

2. Regret and Promise Not to Repeat

On that occasion, Oklin admitted regretting making content that was considered inappropriate. The 19-year-old influencer promised not to repeat similar actions.

"I admit that at this young age, I still often make mistakes and I regret my actions and promise not to repeat them," he concluded.

As is known, Oklin Fia was reported by the Indonesian Muslim Students Association (PB SEMMI) for a video content of eating ice cream in front of a man. This report is registered with the number LP/B/2020/VIII/2023/SPKT POLRES METRO JAKPUS/POLDA METRO JAYA.
