Dede Sunandar's journey in the entertainment industry was not easy. He used to work as a cleaning service at a national TV station.
Dede admitted that he was insulted by the wife of a comedian, whom he did not want to name. It started with cat feces in the comedian's basecamp. The comedian's wife asked Dede to clean up the feces.
Dede immediately followed the comedian's wife's orders, but because it was an AC room, the smell of the feces did not disappear. As a result, Dede was insulted and humiliated by the comedian's wife.
"I've cleaned it, sir, it's called (cat feces) sengir, sir. The AC room, the AC studio is one. It still smells there. I was called stupid, idiot. I cried, sir, I kept quiet," Dede recounted.
Dede decided to go home and not go to work anymore. However, his boss came to his house and persuaded him to work again.
Dede also dared to confront the comedian's wife when they met. "Ma'am, you used to call me names. If I were smart, I wouldn't be a cleaning service. Is being a cleaning service a lowly job? I've cleaned up cat feces, I've used Wip*l and everything, but you called me stupid," Dede Sunandar recounted.
Now Dede has risen again, and decided to run for office. Many are praying for Dede to be able to carry out his duties well. Some also didn't expect Dede to try his hand at politics.
