Once Starting a Career as a Child Singer, Geofanny Tambunan Decides to Focus on Being an Artist

Now, Geofanny resides in Bali and focuses on the world of painting, which he considers his true calling. Geofanny explains that although singing brings him joy, he feels more connected to painting.

"I feel that singing makes me happy, so it’s more like a hobby. My passion actually leans more towards the world of art," he said at the Pagi Pagi Ambyar event on Trans TV, on Friday (16/8/2024).

The decision to switch professions shows Geofanny's commitment to exploring his deeper talents in the arts, where he feels more comfortable and passionate.

Currently, Geofanny is not only active in painting but also planning exhibitions to introduce his works. Some of his paintings have even been sold at quite high prices.

Geofanny even created a platform for organizing painting exhibitions to support his career as an artist. Some of his surreal and pop-themed paintings have been sold for high prices, such as Rp10 million for one piece.

3. Once Had Big Dreams

Several years ago, Geofanny had a dream to showcase his paintings in New York. Unfortunately, that plan had to be abandoned due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused him to experience depression.

Some of my dreams in New York just disappeared, so I had to return to Jakarta. That’s when the sadness started to emerge; eventually, I couldn’t feel anything, couldn’t feel happy, sad, scared, so I literally felt like a zombie, unable to do anything," said Geofanny Tambunan.
