Kapanlagi.com - Singer Rizky Febian shares how he started his struggle in pursuing a music career. For him, the journey was not easy. It began with him often singing from cafe to cafe or participating in small events just to test his mental strength.

"Back then, I wasn’t paid, what mattered was singing. Like I said, from cafe to cafe, or if there was no one performing, or if my dad had an event somewhere, I would join, singing a song to test my mental strength," Rizky Febian said when met in the Kemang area, South Jakarta, Thursday (1/8/2024).

Rizky Febian admitted that the support and guidance from his father, Sule, were very important in shaping his character and mentality, especially in not prioritizing money at the beginning of his career.

"And I like that my father educates me like that, not prioritizing money," he said.

Besides the role of his father, Rizky also acknowledged that his late mother had a significant influence on his life and career.

"Wow, when I talk about (my mother) I can't describe it or illustrate it, but surely she has a very big influence in my life," he revealed.

Even until now, the presence of his late mother still serves as one of the main motivations for Rizky to continue creating in the music world.

"Up to this point, up to this moment, even now that I have a wife, the late almarhum has still been one of the reasons I can survive in the music world," he said.

Rizky Febian has also undergone various changes throughout his career journey. In every phase of the year, there are always significant differences. Initially, Rizky felt shy and was still searching for his identity in music.

"Yes, there are definitely differences in each phase of the year, where I was still shy, then there was a phase of vocal change from teenager to adult, and eventually I started to discover oh this is the formula for Iki's singing," he said.

Ten years of Rizky Febian's career journey is not just about vocal changes, but also about exploring musicality and arrangements that he enjoys.

Every year brings a new color to his music, making him more mature and evolving as a singer.

"So, these ten years have been very colorful, in terms of musicality, in terms of arrangements that Iky likes," he concluded.
