One Year Passed, Lucky Hakim Asks for Legal Certainty Regarding Accusations of Defamation

Kapanlagi.com - Lucky Hakim visited the South Jakarta Police on Wednesday (14/10/2020). The purpose of his visit was to inquire about his legal status after being reported by someone named Dini Novianti with accusations of defamation, back in January 2019.

"I came here to inquire about the case where I was reported by someone for allegedly defaming their name. That person's name is Dini," said Lucky Hakim.

1. Still in Process

According to Lucky Hakim, Dini's report against him is still being processed by the Police. He will respect the applicable legal process.

"Earlier, we asked the police, and indeed the summons and the case are ongoing. We will respect the legal process because it is currently ongoing," he said.

Lucky Hakim further stated that Dini had previously reported him for an Rp 8 billion fraud allegation. However, Dini, who was not satisfied, reported him back to the South Jakarta Police.

"At that time, I told Dini that she cheated me and she disappeared until I held a contest and reported her to the Jakarta Metro Police for fraud, but she reported me back as if I had defamed her," he said.

Now, Dini is said to be a suspect in relation to her report.

"This person named Dini is already a suspect and is currently detained at the Jakarta Metro Police, and her case will soon be brought to trial," said Lucky Hakim.

3. One of the Evidence

According to Lucky Hakim, with Dini being named a suspect, it should be one of the evidence that he did not commit defamation.

"With Dini being named a suspect, it has already been proven that I did not commit defamation. That's why I'm here to ask for legal certainty (regarding Dini's report)," he said.
