Only 3 Months Married, Friend Confirms Rumors of Kalina Ocktaranny and Insank Nasruddin Divorce

As known, they officially married on March 16, 2020. Just three months into their marriage, divorce rumors started circulating because Kalina deleted all photos of her husband on Instagram. Responding to this, Devi Waluyo, Kalina's lawyer and friend, provided an explanation.

"Regarding Kalina's question to me, actually I don't have the capacity to answer as her lawyer. Because there is no legal issue here. I am answering as a friend who was asked by Kalina for clarification if there are any questions," said Devi Waluyo, when contacted by Kapanlagi, Monday (22/6).

1. Confirm Divorce Rumors

Through her statement, Devi confirms that Kalina and Insank have indeed separated. This proves that the circulating rumors are true.

"The answer is true that Kalina has indeed separated from her husband, as intended and happened a few weeks ago according to her statement," she explained.

2. Reasons for Kalina and Insank's Separation

However, Devi did not disclose further the reasons for her friend's separation. But she also emphasized that currently Kalina and Insank are living their own lives.

"As for the reasons, I am not in a position to provide further details, but it is certain that they have separated. Kalina requested the divorce and it was confirmed by her husband," she continued.

3. Unregistered Marriage

Not many people know that Kalina and Insank's marriage was done through religious or unregistered means. That is why Devi also emphasized that there is no legal process involved as the agreement for divorce came from both of them.

"Because unregistered marriages do not have legal divorce proceedings, only religious ones. So, there is no legal matter here. The news of Kalina filing for divorce is not true. Kalina requested the divorce and it was confirmed with a pronouncement (talak)," Devi concluded.
