For the 6th time, Ibra Azhari was apprehended by the police for the same case, namely the alleged abuse of methamphetamine drugs. Ibra was arrested by the West Jakarta Metro Police on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.

According to the West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Commissioner M Syahduddi, the motive for Ibra Azhari's return to consuming this illegal substance is because he is unemployed.
"The reason for using drugs is because he admitted to having family problems. He hasn't had any income for a long time, so he turned to drugs," said Kombes M Syahduddi, at West Jakarta Metro Police, Monday (1/8/2024).
When arrested, Ibra was with his girlfriend, identified as NN. Apparently, after being released, Ibra started using drugs again with NN, whom he has been dating for two years.
"They have been dating for 2 years, and it is known that they frequently use drugs together. Shortly after being released from prison, he was arrested again less than 2 months later. He has been using drugs since he got out of jail," he said.
Ibra and his girlfriend NN were arrested in an apartment in South Tangerang. Kombes M Syahduddi revealed that the arrest happened after successfully capturing a drug dealer who sold the illegal substances to Ibra.
"The chronology originated from the development of the narcotics unit. Where there was a transaction in the Tangsel area, then the investigators conducted observation. There were two people arrested in an apartment in the Ciputat area," he said.
From Ibra's arrest, the police managed to obtain crystal meth evidence, along with the smoking tools. Meanwhile, from the dealer, the police also obtained other evidence.
And because this is the sixth time he has been caught, Ibra Azhari faces a heavier punishment. He faces a minimum prison sentence of 4 years, maximum 12 years.
