Oppie Andaresta Remembers Bunda Iffet, the Figure Who Supported His Career & the Second Mother of the Potlot Children

"Bunda Iffet played a significant role, she had a special place, both for Slank friends and for me personally. She was like our second mother, the Potlot children. So it's not just Slank. Basically, we are pursuing our careers outside of the house. She provided us with a home," said Oppie at Potlot on Saturday night (26/4/2025).

For Oppie, Bunda Iffet is not just a protector, but also a source of warmth that is greatly needed by young people who are struggling to achieve their careers. He feels that Bunda's presence makes everyone at Potlot feel like they have a second home.

"She is like our second mother, the children of Potlot. So it's not just Slank. Basically, we are building our careers away from home. She is the one who gives us a home, she positions herself as a replacement for our mother," he said.

"So we feel that Bunda is our second mother. She plays a very important role in my career and the careers of my friends at Potlot," he continued.

"Some time ago, before the Synchronize event, after the Synchronize event, we kind of visited each other, you know. And she was very happy. So the friends from Potlot back in the day all gathered from Potlot. Bunda was very happy, and her only message was, 'Let's gather more often like this,'" reminisced Oppie.

As a figure who raised many creative young people in Potlot, Bunda Iffet is remembered for her sincere and consistent attention. Oppie still remembers how Bunda treated all the children of Potlot with love.

"Surely everyone is sad, mourning. But everyone is happy because Bunda left according to her wishes. She left surrounded by all the people who loved her. From children, grandchildren, sons-in-law to the household assistants, you know," said Oppie. Those sweet memories further emphasize the deep emotional bond between Oppie and Bunda Iffet. She considers that victory was also thanks to Bunda's full support.
