The legendary band Dewa 19 member, Yuke Sampurna, was involved in a traffic accident involving a small child on the National Highway Tasikmalaya-Pangandaran. Specifically in Kampung Sindangraja, Desa Sindangjaya, Kecamatan Cikalong, Kabupaten Tasikmalaya, on Monday (21/4/2025).

This incident drew public attention after a video of Yuke carrying the victim and transferring them to a Sedan car went viral on social media. At the time of the incident, Yuke was known to be driving a Jeep that hit the victim.

The Chief of Cineam Police, AKP Dede Darmawan, confirmed the incident. He revealed that the accident occurred a week ago, but it only became widely discussed after the video spread.

"This incident is indeed true, it has been a week since it happened, but it just went viral now. It has been handled by the Traffic Police of Tasikmalaya," said Dede, on Monday (28/4/2025).

According to Dede's statement, the incident was initially not reported to the police. However, the Tasikmalaya Police immediately took action to handle this case.

"At that time, there were indeed no reports. The police came down and handled it. Currently, the situation is already peaceful," he said.

Meanwhile, the Tasikmalaya Police confirmed that this case has been resolved amicably between both parties. Bripka Triana Anggasari, the Head of Public Relations of Tasikmalaya Police, stated that the peace process has been carried out and there are no ongoing issues. "It has been resolved amicably," Triana explained.

Although this accident did not result in an official report, Yuke's swift action in immediately assisting the victim garnered public attention. Many netizens appreciated her prompt response in ensuring the victim's condition after the incident occurred.
