Kapanlagi.com - Actress Rina Gunawan is the type of woman who is afraid to weigh herself and see the number on the scale. However, the pandemic changed her mindset.
It all started with her struggling to move after months at home. When she finally dared to weigh herself, she found out that her weight had reached over a hundred kilos.
"Honestly, I am most afraid, or don't want to, be asked to weigh myself because I feel like I have gained so much weight. Because during the pandemic, I just kept eating and eating, and as a result, my weight increased. By June, I felt really burdened, I couldn't pray, walk, and my activities became difficult. The first time I weighed myself, it was at 102.7 kilos," said Rina when met in the Kapten Tendean area, South Jakarta, last week.
Feeling burdened by her weight, Rina Gunawan decided to go on a diet. She followed an online class for dieting. Although she could eat five times a day, there were many restrictions that had to be followed.
"The way to do it is by joining an online class, where there are five meals: breakfast, lunch, snack, afternoon meal, and dinner. But no consumption of coconut milk, wheat, anything related to oil, and also no sugar. I also drink a considerable amount of water, around 10 liters per day. In the first two months, I lost 17 kilos. Alhamdulillah, now I have lost a total of 30 kilos in six months," explained Teddy Syach's wife.
Because Rina Gunawan was committed to her intention to diet, she managed to lose up to 60 kilos in six months. What is the strongest reason that made Rina so enthusiastic?
"Apart from difficulties in activities, (the reason for dieting) is thinking about my children, who are now teenagers and will get married someday. And I want to be there with them on their wedding day. That's the main reason," Rina said with a smile.
Keeping the body healthy and fit during the pandemic is important. Especially since the coronavirus is still an enemy ready to attack at any time. Make sure to always #RememberMother'sMessage when doing activities. Wash your hands regularly with soap and running water, wear a mask, and avoid crowds.
