Pandji Pragiwaksono Guarantees Other Comedians Should Not Be Afraid to Speak Out

The case of the report against the stand-up comedy material of Pandji Pragiwaksono is feared to create a deterrent effect or fear among other comedians to voice social criticism. However, Pandji firmly dismissed these concerns after undergoing questioning at the Metro Jaya Police.

Pandji assured his fellow comedians that what happened to him should not limit the freedom of expression of comedians. According to him, the position of a stand-up comedian on stage is as an entertainer who presents a conceptual performance.

"It doesn't feel that way, because my fellow stand-up comedians are in the same position as I am. When we get on stage, it's a performance, something that's conceptualized to make people laugh," said Pandji Pragiwaksono, Friday (5/2/2026).

"And of course, there is always the possibility of misunderstanding, but we are prepared or ready for dialogue. So there is no reason to worry because from the beginning, including myself, the intention is to entertain the Indonesian people," he emphasized.
