The former boss of the personal assistant, Andi Rukman Karumpa, spoke out about his former employee who was arrested in connection with a fraud case of Rp 1.3 billion.

Andi mentioned that he decided to end his cooperation with the personal assistant, Muhammad Akbar, because he felt uncomfortable with Akbar's habit of showing off his wealth.

"So Akbar was originally brought to Jakarta by me, he followed me and worked with me. I already considered him as my foster child. And now he has become a celebrity on social media, with his Personal Assistant account. When he started uploading luxury items, I started to feel uncomfortable," said Andi, as quoted by Detikcom.

Andi himself stated that he had often reminded Akbar not to engage in illegal business after he no longer worked with him.

Andi even reprimanded Akbar for his fictitious car business, which ultimately led to the arrest of his Personal Assistant.

"I have often reminded Akbar, 'Don't do things like this. People know that you used to work with me, and you could ruin my reputation. Don't engage in illegal business, it's okay to do business as long as it's halal,' I have scolded him. Finally, someone reported him, right?" he said.

Andi hopes that this case can be a lesson for him. Andi also emphasized that he will not defend Akbar.

"Let it be processed. I will not defend him. Let him live his life. He must change. I may come occasionally to visit him," he concluded.
