'Pesbukers' Stop Airing, Eko Patrio Says There is Evaluation and Will Return Again

Kapanlagi.com - The variety show program Pesbukers has just stopped airing since December 9, 2019. The cessation was initiated by ANTV itself, through the official Instagram account of the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI), @kpipusat, on Wednesday (8/1).

Eko Patrio, as part of the Pesbukers family, commented on this. According to him, it was done because there is a need for evaluation that will make the show more interesting.

"It means it's not being stopped, we are evaluating and giving our friends the opportunity to engage in activities elsewhere," he said in the Mampang Prapatan area, South Jakarta, on Friday (10/1).

1. Current Activities of Pesbukers Hosts

The cessation of Pesbukers acknowledged by the 49-year-old comedian does not limit its members from being creative. In fact, currently the Pesbukers hosts have other programs and activities.

"We can see Ruben here, Ayu there, Raffi abroad, I have a new program. And we are commanded to create programs, not just one, many, maybe there will be more programs later," said Eko.

"Even if there are improvements with the name Pesbukers because it has been 8 years, there are people who are happy and unhappy, it's normal," he continued.

2. Not the First Time for Evaluation

This comedian and member of the DPR emphasizes that Pesbukers is not due to sanctions by the KPI and this is not the first time it has happened. In the future, Pesbukers is said to be airing again to entertain television viewers.

"Oh no, it's not because of sanctions, it has happened before, and this program is not the only one we have put on hold, it has happened before as well. Yes, we have calculated everything, it's normal, other TV programs also stop and then continue," explained Eko.

"Yes, if we are stopped, it's only temporary, we will continue later. It's not permanent, just temporary, it will air again in February, God willing," he concluded.
