Zul, the vocalist of the band Zivilia, launched his latest work despite serving a sentence related to a drug case. Although his movements are restricted behind bars, Zul's spirit to create has never dimmed. He presents a new song titled 'Loyal Even Though I'm Not by Your Side'.

As is known, Zul Zivilia was sentenced to 18 years in prison after being proven involved in a drug trafficking case. However, this lengthy sentence does not prevent him from remaining active in the music world.

With various limitations, he continues to strive to channel his creativity and present new works for his fans. Zul expressed his gratitude for being able to launch a new song from inside prison.

"Because as an inmate, my access is very limited, we can only generally watch TV, like what has been provided by the prison authorities," said Zul at the Class IIA Special Prison of Gunung Sindur, Bogor, on Tuesday (5/11/2024).

"As for other matters, it is the Kartamakala party that deals with the prison authorities," he added.

He feels supported by the Class IIA Special Prison of Gunung Sindur, which provides permission and facilities for the production of his work. The launch of this new song was facilitated by Gunung Sindur Prison on Tuesday (5/11/2024). Zul explained that the prison authorities played a significant role in smoothing the process of releasing the song.

"So the prison authorities are the ones who really provided support and paved the way for me to be here. I'm just very happy," said Zul.

In addition to channeling creativity, Zul expressed another reason for releasing this song, which is to help his family's economy. "There are many considerations. The most important one is personal consideration for the economy as well, hopefully it can help my family's economy too," he said.

He hopes that the song can become an additional source of income that can lighten the family's burden. The production process of this song is not easy, especially because it requires strict permission from the prison authorities. According to Zul, the issue of permits is a challenge in itself, especially during the shooting for the music video.

"It's actually been quite a while, because there are many considerations from the prison side, especially regarding permits, since there are things that cannot be done inside, particularly shooting music videos. But thank God, we have received permission from the gentleman," he revealed.

Zul also feels grateful because the prison authorities not only granted permission but even provided studio facilities. "It's not just being given freedom; rather, I was encouraged to create. In fact, the prison authorities facilitated me with a studio. This isn't just for this song; previously, I also made a song on the Lapas Gunung Sindur YouTube channel, there's a song titled "Hari Jadi Pengayoman", that's my work," Zul explained.
