POCARI SWEAT Run Indonesia 2025 Strengthens Collaboration with the Bandung City Government, Featuring Ariel NOAH and Raffi Ahmad Joining the Run!

Kapanlagi.com - Bandung was transformed into a sea of blue during the POCARI SWEAT Run Indonesia 2025 event held on July 19-20, 2025! This largest annual hybrid running event in Indonesia, held for the 12th time this year, saw more than 46,000 participants, with 16,000 runners participating offline at the Bandung City Hall and 30,435 others running virtually from Aceh to Papua simultaneously.

Not only that, this event was also attended by a lineup of famous local celebrities. Notable names like Ariel NOAH, Ibnu Jamil, Raffi Ahmad, and Melanie Putria also contributed to the festivities this year. Check out the highlights of the celebration here!

Strengthening Collaboration with the Bandung City Government

During the press conference for POCARI SWEAT Run Indonesia 2025 hosted by Melanie Putria, Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan, Marketing Director of PT Amerta Indah Otsuka, Puspita Winawati, and Digital Banking Product & Innovation Head of SMBC Indonesia, Febri Rusli, were present as speakers.

It was explained that POCARI SWEAT Run Indonesia 2025 returned to Bandung with strengthened collaboration among all stakeholders, bringing a spirit of change.

"The support from the Bandung City Government and its ranks has been extraordinarily intensive, established months in advance, and is also supported by the West Java Provincial Government and the police. This is done to provide a running experience different from before. The selection of a new route, an earlier start and finish time, the removal of the marathon category, and improvements made with the comfort of the Bandung community and the runners in mind," said Puspita Winawati, commonly called Wina.

Muhammad Farhan, the Mayor of Bandung, explained, "We want Bandung to be known as a second home for runners and to strengthen its competitiveness with running events that already exist in other major cities. Therefore, various improvements have been made to provide a memorable running experience in Bandung. Including during the route selection, I have invited all Heads of Departments to ensure they understand that this is a joint effort that must be supported by all stakeholders, including the Department of Spatial Planning, Transportation, Youth and Sports, Public Works, and others."

During the two-day event of POCARI SWEAT Run Indonesia 2025, thousands of runners traversed the route amidst the cool atmosphere of the city of Bandung. In the 5K, 10K, and Kids Dash categories, a total of 7,699 runners competed on Saturday starting at 05:00, and 8,324 half marathon participants raced on Sunday with the starting point from the Bandung City Hall since 04:00 in the morning.

More Than Just Running

Not only focused on the sports aspect, POCARI SWEAT Run Indonesia 2025 also pays attention to environmental and social issues. From 2022 to 2024, through the 'Zero Waste to Landfill' initiative, 11.4 tons of waste have been successfully recycled. This year, there is an additional initiative partnering with Bandung's youth community to collectively pick up trash along the route.

Puspita added, "The Runners Support System is also provided through hydration every 1.5–2.5 km, prayer facilities at 9 points, cheering points along the route, treatment provided after running from POCARI SWEAT Sport Science, to comprehensive medical services and a centralized coordination system to monitor medical conditions on the ground and ensure quick medical response."
