Police Statement on the Possibility of Inara Rusli & Insanul Fahmi Becoming Suspects

"Let's look at the process earlier. The collection of evidence, whether there is indeed a crime that corresponds to what was reported by Sister M. Whether there is an allegation of that crime, sufficient evidence. I think that is what will be considered by the investigators to continue this process to the next stage," he said to the media on Monday, (26/1/2026).

The police stated that the evidence currently in possession of the investigators is considered strong enough. One of the key pieces of evidence mentioned is the CCTV footage that recorded the activities of the reported individual.

"So far, the evidence is sufficient. We cannot disclose all the evidence available. One of them is what was just mentioned by the lady earlier (the CCTV video)," explained Commissioner Andaru.

Nevertheless, the police are reluctant to provide further details regarding additional evidence for the sake of the investigation. The main focus at this time is to ensure that the entire process runs according to the applicable legal procedures.

Regarding the news of the summons of witnesses who married the two reported individuals, the police will still coordinate with the investigative team for the exact schedule. Until now, there has been no official information regarding the withdrawal of the report from Wardatina Mawa, so the case continues to proceed within the legal framework.
