Police Stop Investigation, Ensure Lula Lahfah's Death Is Not a Criminal Act

"The statement from Fatmawati Hospital that the condition of sister LL is that she passed away due to respiratory failure and there are no signs of abuse or violence," he said when met at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Friday, (30/1/2025).

"We have conducted a thorough investigation and I, as the head of the investigation team here, feel that it is sufficient that no criminal events have been found," he continued.

Furthermore, AKBP Iskandarsyah outlined the chronology of events based on CCTV recording evidence. The day before she was found dead, Lula was seen socializing with her colleague with the initials VA at a café in South Jakarta.

After that, Lula Lahfah went to the hospital for treatment accompanied by witness C.

The next day, the housekeeper (ART) with the initial A felt suspicious because Lula did not leave her room until the afternoon. Together with security personnel and building technicians, Lula's room door was finally forced open because it was locked from the inside.

"Now, here is the crucial point. At 17:47, based on witness statements, the room key from the unit occupied by sister LL was locked from the inside. Therefore, engineering forced the lock open and found sister LL lying stiff," explained Iskandarsyah.

In the CCTV footage, Lula's boyfriend, Reza Arap (RA), was also seen arriving at the scene with a medical team after being contacted by witnesses. Reza was even seen accompanying Lula's body as it was taken to the ambulance.

Regarding the evidence in the form of a pink tube that has been a topic of public discussion, the police have conducted a forensic laboratory test.

The results of the test will be explained further by the forensic laboratory of the National Police Headquarters to avoid public controversy.

With the investigation being halted, the police ask the public to respect the privacy of the grieving family and to stop spreading wild speculation.

"We respect the victim's family, we pray here, we try to introspect ourselves and not create controversies; I ask this because what Ms. LL has done here, I believe there is nothing illegal about it," concluded Iskandarsyah.
