The public prosecutor of the South Jakarta District Court stated that Ammar Zoni was found guilty of drug abuse in today's session, Friday (8/9). The actor is sentenced to 1 year in prison for personal drug use.
Ammar is very disappointed with the prosecutor's demand, causing him to cry. After the trial, Ammar hugged his younger brother, Aditya Zoni, who accompanied him to replace Irish Bella, who was absent from the court.
Today, Friday (8/9), Ammar Zoni attended a hearing regarding the demand for the drug abuse case he committed a few months ago.
In today's hearing, Ammar was not accompanied by Irish Bella. Previously, this was informed by Ammar's legal counsel who requested Irish to wait at home.
Ammar entered the courtroom with a bowed face. He appeared sad even before the trial began.
In this hearing, the Prosecutor stated that Ammar was proven guilty of drug use for himself.
The Prosecutor then imposed a sentence of 1 year in prison, deducted by the period of detention already served by Ammar.
Hearing the prosecutor's demands, Ammar Zoni felt disappointed to the point of crying. Ammar couldn't hold back his tears during the trial.
According to the prosecutor, the demands given refer to Article 127 paragraph 1 letter A of Law Number 35 Year 2009 concerning Narcotics. The prosecutor considers Ammar and other suspects as users.
In today's session, Ammar's legal counsel also presented a defense. They still hope that Ammar can be rehabilitated and not detained in prison.
After the trial, Ammar hugged Aditya Zoni. He expressed his sadness because the prosecutor demanded imprisonment.
The Ammar trial itself will continue on September 26th. In that trial, Ammar's punishment will be confirmed by the panel of judges.
Ammar admits to being very disappointed with the prosecutor's demands. He hopes there will be leniency in the final verdict trial in September.
