After the drug case trial in Jakarta concluded and Ammar Zoni was found guilty and sentenced to 7 years in prison, the actor was taken back to Nusakambangan Prison. Along with several other inmates, Ammar was returned to the prison where he was held before the trial in Jakarta.

In a release from the Directorate General of Corrections, it was mentioned that Ammar was transferred to Nusakambangan on Friday, (8/5) yesterday. Rika Aprianti, the Sub-Director of Cooperation at the Directorate General of Corrections, stated that Ammar has now been received at Nusakambangan Prison and continues his sentence process there.

After being found guilty in a drug trafficking case at the Salemba detention center and sentenced to 7 years in prison, Ammar Zoni was returned to the Nusakambangan prison. Ammar's request to remain detained in Jakarta was denied by the court.

In a statement received by KapanLagi.com from the Directorate General of Corrections, Ammar was transferred on Friday, (8/5) yesterday. Together with 4 other inmates with similar cases, Ammar departed for the Super Maximum Security Prison Karang Anyar Nusakambangan at 23:55 WIB.

Before the transfer, officials conducted administrative processes and health checks.

During the transfer, it was carried out with escort and accompaniment from the Central Jakarta Prosecutor's Office, officers from the Directorate of Intelligence and Security of the Directorate General of Corrections, TNI and Polri personnel, and officers from the Jakarta Narcotics Prison. Ammar and four others wore orange clothes and were handcuffed.

"Amar Zoni and others arrived in Nusakambangan at 06:55 (9/5) and were placed in the Nusakambangan Super Maximum Security Prison," said Rika Aprianti, Head of the Cooperation Sub-Directorate of the Directorate General of Corrections.

The administrative reception process includes, among others, the minutes of the handover of prisoners, urine tests, health checks, and other administrative activities. Reception and placement are carried out according to prison SOPs. Ammar is now officially back as a resident of the Nusakambangan prison under maximum security.

In the photo received by KapanLagi.com, Ammar Zoni's hands and feet are handcuffed and connected with a metal chain. Ammar himself did not file an appeal against the judge's decision in his case, but he is currently seeking a review with a new lawyer.
