Not many people know that Ariel Tatum is currently struggling with her mental disorder. In fact, she has attempted suicide several times because of her condition.

Not many people know that Ariel Tatum actually suffers from a mental disorder. Yes, she admitted to Ivan Gunawan and Deddy Corbuzier that she has Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD).

She said she became aware of the disorder when she was 13 years old. However, the disorder was only detected when she was 18 years old.

"BPD was discovered after years of therapy, I knew (I had BPD) when I was around 18 years old," said Ariel Tatum.

That mental disorder apparently affected her. Ariel admitted that she had difficulty building relationships with others, and in some cases, she had tried to commit suicide several times.

"Several times," Ariel said when asked by Deddy.

Realizing that this illness could have negative consequences for her, Ariel decided to consult a specialist doctor. She intended to seek professional help.

"The moment that made me decide that I needed professional help was when I had a tendency to self-harm," said Ariel.

Due to this illness, Ariel even considered quitting the entertainment industry. However, due to various considerations, she decided against it.

"So, back in October 2019, when I revealed my mental health issues, I actually took a break from the industry. Because I felt like I didn't want to continue anymore," she said. "But eventually, I decided that since I have such a large platform, I should use it for something good," she concluded.
