"This time I came to the marathon with a different intention. Not just to finish. Not just to try for a personal best. But to really try to be disciplined," he wrote in an IG post on Tuesday (3/3).

"I practiced intermittent fasting. Long runs were scheduled. Recovery runs were not taken lightly. I also reduced other sports. Work continues - if I can't make it outdoors, then it's just the treadmill," he continued.

Starting from wanting to be disciplined, Daffa admitted he found a way to enjoy running. "Initially, I just wanted to 'try to be disciplined'.It turns out that what changed was not just the pace, but the way I enjoy running," he explained.

Daffa admits he just understands why people say that a marathon is a celebration of training. Because on the day itself, what is celebrated is not the 42K, but all the mornings that forced you to wake up, all the recovery sessions that are often underestimated, all the small decisions to stay consistent.

"I used to think that the more tired I was, the better. It turns out that when training is balanced, recovery is taken into account, intensity isn't just about going all out, the body isn't 'bent', the mind isn't burned out, and I can still be myself outside of running. The result-24 minutes Personal Best," he wrote in an IG post.

"But more than that, I finished with a smile. Not empty. & most importantly, I could really enjoy the Marathon," he concluded.
