News regarding Ashanty's plan to sell her luxurious house in the Cinere area has resurfaced. The magnificent residence, often referred to as 'Istana Cinere,' indeed holds many memories for the Anang Hermansyah family.
However, Atta Halilintar, as the son-in-law, provided his perspective on his mother-in-law's decision. Atta confirmed that there is a possibility the house will be sold.

According to him, the main reason behind the sale plan is not due to financial issues, but rather to efficiency and the needs of the family that have changed over time.
"It seems that because Mother (Ashanty) now has grandchildren, she wants to be closer to family. Maybe if it's in Cinere, it's further away because most of the activities are near Pondok Indah. And I also think Mother is now spending more time in the apartment," said Atta Halilintar when met in the Pondok Labu area, South Jakarta, on Monday (02/03/2026).
Location and mobility factors are important considerations. Ashanty, who now has a plethora of activities in the city center, feels that the travel distance from Cinere takes up quite a bit of time. In addition, the presence of her beloved grandchildren, Ameena and Azura, makes her want to live in a more strategic location for easier visits.
Atta assesses his in-laws' decision as very logical. Maintaining such a large house if it is rarely occupied would certainly become a burden, both in terms of maintenance and significant operational costs."So rather than wasting it, right? Rather than wasting it, I think selling the house isn’t wrong either," said Aurel Hermansyah's husband.
The Cinere house itself has indeed been a silent witness to the journey of the A6 family. However, the dynamics of life that keep moving make priorities shift as well. Ashanty now feels more comfortable living in a more practical apartment that is close to her family's center of activity.
Meanwhile, when asked about the news of his younger brother, Thariq Halilintar, who is also rumored to be moving to a new equally luxurious house, Atta admitted that he did not know the details. He chose not to comment much on something he does not know for sure."Well, I don’t know, I’m not sure yet," he replied briefly.
Nevertheless, Atta always prays for the best for his extended family, whether it be his parents, in-laws, or siblings in every step they take.
