Fariz RM is back in court at the South Jakarta District Court on Thursday (19/6/2025), related to the alleged drug abuse case. This trial's agenda includes witness examination from the Public Prosecutor (JPU).

This legendary musician was arrested in the Dipati Ukur area, Bandung, last February. He was apprehended by the police after allegedly ordering marijuana and methamphetamine from a man with the initials ADK, who was arrested earlier.

As the defendant, Fariz RM admitted to surrendering the entire process to the applicable law in Indonesia and does not wish to blame anyone for the case he is facing.

"Oh, for me as a Muslim, I believe in God's will. Always the best for me. As a citizen of the Republic of Indonesia, I believe in the applicable law and hope that this trial, this process runs according to what is to come," he said.

Fariz stated that he does not want to evade the legal process and will undergo everything sincerely. He also believes that everything that happens in life is arranged by God.

"I surrender myself to God because I believe that God's will is certainly the best will," he said.

"As the defendant in this case, I fully submit and trust in the legal representatives until the court session that I am currently attending and undergoing," said the singer of the song 'Barcelona'.

"What is clear is that I am sincere, I am ready, I thank all legal parties, especially my family who always continue to believe in me, my child, my wife, my mother," he concluded. /aal

This case adds to the long list of Fariz RM's involvement in drug cases. Previously, he had been involved in similar cases in 2007, 2015, and 2018. Nevertheless, Fariz continues to try to go through everything patiently and does not blame the past.
