Senior musician Fariz RM provided a straightforward response after attending the continuation of his drug case trial at the South Jakarta District Court on Thursday (14/8/2025). Although his defense plea was rejected by the Public Prosecutor (JPU), Fariz RM emphasized that his main goal was not to seek freedom.

Met after the trial, the singer of Barcelona stated that he would provide a complete clarification in the upcoming rebuttal trial. However, he gave a little hint about his true feelings.

"Indeed, from the beginning as a user, I have never responded as an abuser, for example, to plead for freedom, not like that. This may be viewed by legal counsel as a process in accordance with SOP," said Fariz RM.

His biggest hope right now is to get the opportunity to undergo a thorough healing process through rehabilitation.

Fariz is fully aware that freeing oneself from the grip of narcotics is not an easy matter.

"But honestly, I hope to be given the chance again to be rehabilitated," he said.

"Because once again, healing oneself from drug dependence is not an easy thing," added the 66-year-old musician seriously.
