Senior actor Gunawan Sudrajat recently shared a touching yet heartbreaking story about the unpleasant experience his eldest son, Adhna Khayru Akyela Hardikusumo, faced while still in elementary school.
Through his narration on the talk show Obrolan Tiap Waktu on Thursday (3/7/2025), Gunawan revealed that his child had once been a victim of physical bullying. Here’s the story!
"My child experienced physical bullying when he was in elementary school. He was kicked, pushed until he fell, and his lunch was thrown away," said Gunawan.
Seeing Khayru's increasingly quiet and gloomy demeanor, Gunawan began to suspect and eventually discovered what was really happening.
Gunawan then tried to hold the school accountable for the incident involving his child. However, the school's response only made Gunawan more disappointed.
The school chose to retain the bullying student, citing a special closeness between the bully's parents and the school.
"With a big heart, I choose to take my child out of that school," said the 52-year-old actor.
Khayru has now grown into a handsome and intelligent young man and has become a source of pride for his family. Gunawan and Lala, his wife, always provide the best education for their children.
