Jessica Sabar Bungauli, or better known as Jebung (Jebunggg), accidentally changed her life by showcasing her golden voice on the TikTok app. Her initial appearance singing a snippet of Katy Perry's Dark Horse has been viewed by millions of people to this day.

When met by Kapanlagi Youniverse, Gondangdia, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (6/10), Jebung shared how surprised she was when the video went viral. Her notifications were overflowing, and Jebung admitted that her phone became hot and eventually died because of it.

"I was at home boiling noodles, and my phone was already on its last legs, so it was about to die, and suddenly TikTok started blowing up," Jebung explained.

"My phone got stuck because of the heat. The camera is slow and the notifications are even slower. I was really surprised because I thought it would stop at five million, but it just keeps going," he continued.

Jebung himself has been singing since he was four years old. He mentioned that because of a friend's suggestion, he finally uploaded a singing video on TikTok.

"I started singing on TikTok just for fun, but I've been singing seriously since I was 7 years old. Then, during the beginning of the pandemic, my friend often watched my Instagram stories and suggested, 'This would be perfect for TikTok.' So I decided to give it a try," he said.

In addition, Jebung admitted that there was nothing special about his previous life. He also revealed that besides often participating in singing competitions, he was also often invited by his mother to sing in church.

"I was only busy with studying, mostly school, college, church. Yes, you could say that. Where did I sing when I was little? If not at the mall, then mostly at church. I would look for a slot in the church to sing, sometimes I was asked to sing. I started performing from the church," he concluded.
