Portrait of Marcell Chandrawinata Tells the Excitement of Shooting with Comedians During Ramadan

Marcell Chandrawinata shares his unique experience while participating in entertainment events during Ramadan. Although he is not a comedian, he feels happy to learn a lot from the comedians who are used to entertaining the public.

"For me, I just laugh a lot. And my lips are really dry because I can't make them laugh. Oh, everything is funny," said Marcell when met on Jalan Kapten Tendean, Mampang, South Jakarta, recently.

Marcell admitted that the world of comedy is something new for him. He often feels nervous and loses focus when he has to keep up with the very fast pace of the show.

"Suddenly, 'what segment are we on now?' 'We're on segment three.' Wait, I'm still reading in segment one," he said while laughing.

Even so, Marcell still enjoys the process. For him, working with people who are fasting during Ramadan provides valuable lessons about dedication and work ethic.

"It's great to be together with friends who are fasting, entertaining all the people of Indonesia. Yesterday we also had a segment where we broke our fast together because our show was live too," he added.

Marcell also expressed the biggest challenge in the world of comedy, which is the ability to improvise spontaneously. This makes him even more amazed by professional comedians.

"The spontaneity is what’s difficult. If it’s already been thought out, we know what to say. But if it’s suddenly on the spot, that’s what can be tough sometimes," he said.

However, he still feels proud to be part of the event. For him, this experience is an opportunity to learn more about the diverse entertainment world. "What’s important is that we can make people happy. That’s the most important thing," Marcell concluded.
