Actor Donny Alamsyah shared his exciting experience while acting alongside Vino G. Bastian in the film QODRAT 2. He performed a fight scene in a narrow truck, which posed an extra challenge. The difficulty increased as he had to wear prosthetics and soft lenses that limited his vision while fighting. Check out more details below!
"So you guys can imagine us fighting in a narrow truck, the choreography is also complicated, I used prosthetics, and wearing soft lenses made my vision narrow," said Donny Alamsyah at XXI Epicentrum, South Jakarta, Friday (21/3/2025).
Not only about the limited space to move, Donny is also required to speak in Arabic during the scene. "It turns out that during the fighting, I also have to use Arabic," he said.
Although quite complicated, Donny feels happy to have performed the scene well. "But even though it's difficult, it's a scene that I really enjoy," he revealed.
According to him, the fight scene inside the truck is one of the most memorable throughout his career. He believes the challenges faced in Qodrat 2 are much greater than in previous films. Â "The challenges are more than various fight scenes I have experienced before, and it is very enjoyable," he explained.
Donny revealed that the scene was the result of improvisation between him and Vino. They decided to add elements of Arabic to make the scene more natural and characterful. Â "The fight scene inside the truck with Arabic was an improvisation by Donny and Vino," he said.
In this film, Donny plays the role of Sukardi, a man who wants to uncover the crimes at the textile factory where his wife died. Together with Ustaz Qodrat, he attempts to unravel the mystery that occurred at the location.
The film Qodrat 2 still tells the story of Ustaz Qodrat's struggle against the threats from Asualla. This film, directed by Charles Gozali, is scheduled to be released during Eid 2025, featuring other stars such as Acha Septriasa, Della Dartyan, and Hana Saraswati.
