Sad news comes from the music world of the homeland. Titiek Puspa passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025, after undergoing treatment for more than two weeks at Medistra Hospital, Jakarta.

The woman known as a music maestro passed away at the age of 87. She suffered a brain hemorrhage on the left side of her head before finally taking her last breath.

The daughter of the deceased, Petty Tunjungsari, directly conveyed the news of her mother's passing to the media. Petty, who is now 65 years old, also shared how her mother spent her final days.

"Dear media friends who are loved by my mother, sending love and prayers from Eyang Titiek Puspa to the media. I apologize if sometimes it does not meet your expectations," said Petty at the funeral home, Pancoran, South Jakarta, Thursday (10/4/2025).

Petty explained that her mother was hospitalized since March 26, 2025, after finishing filming a television show. At that time, Titiek briefly lost consciousness and was immediately taken to the hospital.

"After she finished, she fainted and it turned out that there was a rupture of a blood vessel in the left side of the brain. Thank God she was taken to the hospital and treated quickly," said Petty.

After regaining consciousness on the third and fourth days, Titiek's condition declined again. Petty said her mother's body temperature rose and her strength was no longer what it used to be.

"She was able to be aware on the third and fourth day, but her condition worsened again because she had a fever. Please understand that my mother is 87 years old," said Petty.

Although Titiek's condition has worsened, the family has been preparing for this moment for a long time. Petty expressed gratitude and thanks for the support from all parties during her mother's career journey.

"Thank you for accompanying the professional life of Eyang Titiek Puspa for 72 years. She thanks her friends and all the people of Indonesia," said Petty.

The funeral of Titiek Puspa will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, at TPU Tanah Kusir, Jakarta. The body will be buried after Friday prayers in Block AA1 Plot 48.
