As one of the hajj pilgrims, Raffi Ahmad was seen performing tahalul, one of the obligatory rituals of hajj. Tahalul itself is the permission or release of someone from prohibitions during the state of ihram. This release is marked by shaving at least three strands of hair.
Raffi Ahmad was said to have initially refused to shave his hair completely bald because he was worried about his job. Moreover, tahalul actually does not require completely shaving the hair on the head.
After getting an explanation, Raffi finally agreed to let all the strands of hair on his head be shaved off, or in other words, appear bald.
According to the explanation, in the process of tahalul, the greater reward is obtained when the hair is cut short or shaved bald.
Previously, Raffi was compared to other artists who also performed tahalul after performing the hajj. Those artists were shaved bald while Raffi was not.
