Portrait of Rayen Pono Fulfill Police Summons, Clarification of Allegations of Defamation by Ahmad Dhani

"Yes, this is still the initial investigation, right? The investigation related to our report. The witnesses will clarify everything, matching all the details; our hope is that this can quickly proceed to an inquiry," said Rayen Pono at the Metro Jaya Police, Thursday (15/5/2025).

Regarding the readiness of the documents needed in the examination process, Rayen stated that everything had been prepared well in advance. He assured that there were no more deficiencies from the complainant's side. "All documents have been delivered well in advance; everything is secure," he revealed.

Rayen also brought two witnesses who are considered capable of strengthening his report against Ahmad Dhani. One of the witnesses accompanying him is his own sibling who directly witnessed the reported incident.

"There are two witnesses, one of whom is my biological brother, and the other one is already inside. The actual witness from my side who saw the facts directly," he said.

When asked if there was any additional evidence brought to the police, Rayen stated that so far all documents and evidence have been complete. He chose to wait for the results of the examination first before speaking further."So far everything has been fulfilled, just wait for the examination results," he said.

Previously, Rayen's report against Ahmad Dhani had been submitted to the Bareskrim Polri with registration number LP/B/188/IV/2025/SPKT/BARESKRIM POLRI. The report is related to allegations of racial insult and defamation.

Not only to the police, Rayen also brought this case to the ethical realm by reporting Ahmad Dhani to the Honorary Council of the House of Representatives (MKD). He considers Dhani's remarks inappropriate for a representative of the people.

In his capacity as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the Gerindra faction, Ahmad Dhani has publicly apologized. He admitted to having mispronounced Rayen's last name in an invitation to a public debate.

The issue began when Dhani invited Rayen to a public debate forum about music royalty management. In the invitation, Dhani allegedly intentionally mispronounced Rayen's last name "Pono" as "Porno".
