As a public figure known for being active in sports, Tya admits she finds a unique challenge when trying padel. She feels that this game relies not only on physical strength but also requires strategy and precision.

"Taekwondo is still my main sport, but I've been playing a lot of padel with taekwondo coaches as well, so it's really trending right now, and it turns out that once you start playing, it’s quite fun, like step by step there’s so much to learn, it’s not just about hitting, we also have to manage our breath," said Tya Ariestya when met in the Tendean area of South Jakarta recently.

Tya revealed that padel has its own uniqueness because it is played in groups and uses glass walls as part of the game. She feels that this sport also opens up opportunities for socializing."And also through the glass walls, and since it’s a group sport, it allows for socializing as well," she said.

When asked about the initial reason for trying padel, Tya admitted it wasn't because she wanted to follow others. She indeed has an interest in physical activities and enjoys new challenges.

"Indeed, I have always liked sports, so since many of my friends are also trying padel, I decided to join in," she said.

Her routine in playing padel is serious. In a week, Tya can play on the court almost every day, depending on her schedule and other commitments.

"I started playing on Monday, and Monday was indeed a holiday, then I took a break on Tuesday, played on Wednesday, played on Thursday, and tomorrow I already have a schedule to play twice in one day," she revealed.

Although she hasn't been playing padel for long, Tya seems to have a high enthusiasm for mastering it. She feels that just playing occasionally is not enough; she needs to keep practicing to truly master it."My flying hours are very high because I can't play well yet, so since I can't, I need to practice a lot," she said.
