According to Vicky Shu, before the release of her latest single, she had to struggle to recover her voice.
"Before I released this song, I felt like my voice was really heavy. Whereas my songs have high notes," said Vicky Shu at BSD Green Office Park, Tangerang, Banten, on Friday (10/3/2023).
To restore her voice to its original state, this mother of two practiced free diving.
Apparently, the sport paid off. After 3 months, her performance improved.
"That's why I took up free diving to train my breath and calmness. After three months of regular free diving, my voice returned, and only then did I start the song selection and recording process," she said.
Vicky Shu admitted that her vocal cords underwent changes due to various factors.
She believes it was because she hadn't trained her vocals in a long time and also due to the effects of her weight gain after giving birth.
"I am still on a diet now. When I gave birth, I gained around 30 kilos, which affected my performance. Now my weight is already 60 kilos. I want it to be 55. Because my cheeks still look chubby," she said.
