When asked about this, the Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metro Police, Kombes Pol Yusri Yunus, stated that Nia and Ardi were not present because they were still undergoing hair sample testing. The examination is being conducted to detect what type of drugs were used.

"They are currently undergoing hair testing. Urine testing was conducted last night and the results were positive. They have also undergone Covid protocols and tested negative," answered Yusri during the suspect release at the Central Jakarta Police Station, Thursday (8/7/2021).

1. Used Since Four Months Ago

Furthermore, Kombes Pol Yusri Yunus said that Nia Ramadhani and Ardi Bakrie have allegedly been using drugs, suspected to be methamphetamine, since four to five months ago. However, this matter will continue to be investigated, including where the couple obtained the illegal substance.

"RA and AAB admitted to starting to use it four to five months ago. To make sure, we will check their blood and hair. We will continue to investigate this case," said Yusri.

2. Threatened with 4 Years in Prison

Nia Ramadhani and Ardi Bakrie were apprehended by the Narcotics Unit of the Central Jakarta Metropolitan Police on Wednesday (7/7/2021). During the search, evidence was found in the form of a clip weighing 0.78 grams, suspected to be methamphetamine, and a smoking device in the form of a bong.

Nia and Ardi are charged under Article 127 of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning the misuse of Category I narcotics for personal use. This couple faces a maximum imprisonment of four years.
