Erina Gudono & Kaesang Pangarep participated in the celebration of the Islamic New Year or the night of Suro in Surakarta. The event is part of the traditions of the Surakarta Sultanate that are still preserved.
The event started at Pura Mangkunegaran, then a procession was carried out, and ended back there.

Male participants wear traditional black Javanese attire or Jawi jangkep attire. Meanwhile, female participants wear black kebaya.
During the procession of the parade, participants are not allowed to speak to each other. This ritual is known as tapa bisu.
