Premature Birth the Size of a 1 Liter Bottle, Rizky Febian Once Diagnosed with Less Than 6 Months to Live

Kapanlagi.com - Rizky Febian opens up about his personal life on Deddy Corbuzier's podcast. There, the eldest son of comedian Sule revealed about his childhood, which turns out to be born prematurely and was once diagnosed with less than 6 months to live. 

The singer, affectionately called Ikky, said that he was not bigger than a 1-liter mineral water bottle. 

"I was even smaller than a 1-liter bottle, smaller than that. My legs were the size of a red candy, yes that small. And my stomach, my stomach was moving like that," said Rizky Febian as quoted from Deddy Corbuzier's podcast.

Born during a difficult time for his parents, Rizky Febian's premature condition forced the family to think of a solution. The high cost of hospital and incubator expenses led the family to create their own incubator at home. 

"My mom told me directly. And back then, because we didn't have money, if we wanted to go to the hospital, the cost would be high, so the process was like me being a chicken," he said. 

"I was wrapped from head to toe, and I was given many lights. It was exactly like a chicken about to lay eggs," added the 22-year-old singer. 

2. Diagnosed with Only 6 Months to Live

Rizky Febian, who at that time was born weighing no more than 2 kilograms, continued to lose weight every week. Eventually, the midwife diagnosed that Sule and Lina's son would not survive beyond 6 months.

"The midwife checked because, you know, I was born with only a few decimals, and within a week after birth, I kept losing weight, more and more. Yes, it kept decreasing. That's when I was diagnosed that I couldn't live more than 6 months," Iky explained.
