"There is a person (named) Isa Zega alias Sahrul, he is a transgender, transwoman, waria, who was originally a man. He performed Umrah wearing a hijab that complies with Islamic law; this is part of the blasphemy against the religion," said the Mufti in a post.
"According to the fatwa of MUI, even though his gender has been changed, he is still a man in appearance, and in every process (of Umrah) he must still follow the procedures of a man," he continued.
"But Isa is different; he performed Umrah using the processes and methods of a woman. This is part of the blasphemy against the religion," the Mufti emphasized.
Isa has performed Umrah more than once. It can be seen in other posts that Isa often goes to the holy land.
