Lindswell Kwok is not only known as a wushu star who has triumphed in various international championships, but also as someone who has undergone a significant transformation in her life, from a successful athlete to becoming a convert and building a happy family. Here is her meaningful life journey, starting from the peak of her career, important spiritual decisions, to her life with her beloved husband.

Lindswell started her wushu career at a young age, following in her brother's footsteps, and won her first medal at the junior national competition in 2005.

Her international career skyrocketed in 2006 when she won a bronze medal at the World Junior Wushu Championships in Kuala Lumpur, and she continued to shine, becoming one of Indonesia's best wushu athletes.

Her achievements peaked when she won gold at the 2018 Asian Games in the taijiquan and taijijian categories with a score of 9.75, a moment that led her to be dubbed 'Queen of Wushu' by the public and local media.

After that, Lindswell decided to retire from the competitive world due to a knee injury.

Although successful in the sports arena, Lindswell also underwent a deep spiritual journey. In 2015, she began to explore Islam after being inspired by her Muslim friends. After years of studying and struggling personally, including facing inner conflicts and harsh reactions from her family, she finally officially embraced Islam after the 2018 Asian Games.

Some time later, she married her fellow wushu athlete, Achmad Hulaefi, on December 9, 2018. This marriage took place despite initially lacking approval from Lindswell's family, but they remained committed and worked to rebuild their relationships.

Although she has retired, Lindswell remains active in the world of wushu as a coach and motivator for the younger generation, and she also lends her voice to sports issues. In mid-2025, she caught the public's attention again when she voiced sharp criticism of the disparity in appreciation for athletes in the country, highlighting what she considered unfair award policies towards non-popular athletes.
